How far can you trust online credit card payment ?

Do you use your credit cards for buying things online. have you ever had a problem with buying things on the internet with the credit cards. i think that credit card is not safe for buying things on the internet

We are frequently using CC online to buy train tickets (through IRCTC), air tickets and to renew our Sify broadband services. Till now, we have face no problem at all.

well, I never done anything on internet using my credit card except completing 1 offer which gave me $5 for free, without any fee to my credit card.
I think it's not bad to use credit card on internet, just investigate the site before using your credit card.

I haven't tried it yet but I think it's safe just as long as you take proper precautions. Always make sure that you are giving your cc details to trustworthy sites.

I also agree that dealing with CC is unsafe .

Dealing CC on internet is absolutely safe if you use your card with trusted, reliable companies. Dealing it with unknown companies may cause you trouble.

But the problem is nowadays there are many site looks like professional but in fact they are scamming people.
We don't know which one is scam and which one is not scam.

I always purchasing and booking items online and pay by credit cards. Although it seem risky that our info will be theft and abuse. But until now, i find no problems with payment though credit cards and it is really convenience. As I am from IT line, i know that mostly credit card payment gateway is directly link to the merchant bank, so it should be safe with the bank security.

It's better to maintain a CC with a very low credit limit and use it frequently online to buy things and pay somewhere (of course within that limit!!).

No, Never.. Bez 1st of all i think its not safe... I know very well that lots of people have facing lots of problem... :wink:

2nd , I allways want to buy that thing only which I can touch, fell and see. in the online when we saw anything - it's showing good bt I can't touch it. So, I never buying anything from the internet.
